SAINT JOHN - Receiver Josh Dickinson scored a pair of touchdowns and defensive back Jon Forbes came up with two key defensive plays as the Riverview Mustangs thumped the Saint John Wanderers 37-0 in Maritime Football League play here yesterday.

The win improved the defending champion Mustangs' record to 5-0 for first place in the Eastern Conference. They are the only remaining undefeated team in the league.

Saint John fumbled on its first possession of the afternoon and it was all Riverview after that. Forbes picked up the loose ball and ran 30 yards, setting up a touchdown by Shea Lenehan, who ran from 12 yards out for the Mustangs' first score of the day.

Dickinson hooked up with quarterback Donovan Boucher for a pair of touchdowns in the air, first a 17-yard connection in the first half, which was set up by a Forbes interception, and later a 48-yard bomb in the second half.

Boucher also threw a 32-yard touchdown strike to Cody Hollohan and Josh Scott got in on the action, too, returning a punt 73 yards for another Riverview major.

The Mustangs led 23-0 at halftime. Matt Archibald kicked three converts in the victory.

The Wanderers dropped to 1-5 on the season.

Riverview hosts the Saint John Longhorns (2-2) this coming weekend at a date to be announced.
